Phare Play Productions continues its second season with its first full length show, Carl the Second, a contemporary comedy about being the next best in love, life, and everything in between.

Carl the Second depicts our tragic hero, Carl Fraser, as he introduces you to his indifferent family, heroic older brother, and devastating attempts at love, and reveals how each of they all lead to his epiphany about being "second" place in the life of everyone around him. Enter Christine, the woman of his dreams, ready to elevate Carl's status with her affection. Is he ready to accept the challenge and be more than a loveable loser or will he succumb to being simply Carl the Second?

With a stellar ensemble cast of motley characters, Carl the Second will leave you laughing, cheering, and maybe even shedding a tear for the underdog.

Cast Bios

Scott MoralesSCOTT MORALES - Proud to be returning to the Phare Play stage after being seen in last season's "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)," Scott hails from the Country Fried Nation (Texas) and has been acting since the age of seven when, upon the donning of a red towel and flying off of the cabinents, portrayed his first role of "Superman" which received scathing reviews from his parents for continually sending him to the hospital. Scott would like to thank the Lord for the unending grace and opportunity that continually comes his way, his family and friends for their unending support and inspiration, and Christine and the cast and crew for an amazing trip through a wonderful script and great production process. Finally, Scott would also like to thank his heroes: Luke Skywalker, Moses Austin, the entire Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor plus Tony Romo ("I still believe"), and Natalie Portman.

Tamara CacchioneTAMARA CACCHIONE is an alum of Vassar College with a B.A in Drama, Stella Adler Conservatory, and the National Theater Institute.
