The first international festival of jugger-schools
Irkutsk Puppet Theatre “Aistyonok (Stork)” will take part in the first International Festival of jugger-schools, which will be held on 23-31 August in St. Petersburg.
The project will include 10 Russian and 20 foreign workshops, which will show theatrical performances of jugger-schools. Irkutsk will present its show “Petrushkin’s histories”.
An extensive educational program is planned during the festival – forums of directors, workshops, a special project for children with disabilities “Believe in me”.
Among the activities of the festival – there is an interactive street carnival for children and adults “Petrushkas from around the world in the Tsar’s village”, with the participation of puppet theaters of Russia and abroad and the festival of area productions and street entertainment for children and youth.
The festival is organized and conducted by the Theatre Union of Russia jointly with the International Telecommunication Union of jugger-schools, UNIMA affiliated with the UNESCO, in partnership with the International Festival KYKART supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
